Is Duckling a free alternative to Huckleberry?
Duckling is free — including voice and natural-language logging, the feature Huckleberry places in its paid tier. Duckling covers feeds, sleep, diapers, notes, and growth check-ins today, with food tries, milestones, and first words on the roadmap. What we don't offer, deliberately: paid sleep predictions.
Can I import my Huckleberry data?
Yes. Export from Huckleberry, import the file here, done in about a minute of your attention. Anything we can't map yet is held safely rather than dropped, and the whole import is one-tap undoable.
Why doesn't Duckling predict naps like SweetSpot?
On purpose. Prediction features guess wrong often enough that parents learn to ignore the whole app. Duckling tells you what did happen — clearly, attributed, on one timeline — and leaves what should happen next to you and your pediatrician.
Is Huckleberry free?
Huckleberry's manual tracking is free. SweetSpot® nap predictions and AI logging require the Plus subscription ($11.99/mo), and Berry chat and custom sleep plans require Premium ($14.99/mo), per their pricing page as of July 2026. Duckling's tracking — including voice — is free.
Which baby tracker works offline?
Duckling logs fully offline and syncs when you're back — basement, airplane, dead-zone nursery. Huckleberry's own help pages note it requires an internet connection, and most other trackers don't advertise offline support.
What about Solid Starts for food introduction?
Solid Starts is a genuinely good food-introduction resource. Duckling's food module — tried/untried lists and allergen-introduction tracking on the same timeline as sleep and symptoms — is on the roadmap, and it links out to authoritative sources for prep and safety guidance rather than pretending to be one.
